  • This is an essential section to properly use Digitslaw to run your law practice. Here, you can
  • Upload your business logo, practice location, and all other information needed for proper billing to clients.
  • Setup your company client portal
  • Create all your business’ practice areas
  • Setup all billable activities (e.g., Brief preparation), and flat fees types (e.g., General meeting)
  • There are 5 sub-tabs under Business settings but we advise you to complete 1 & 2 when setting up your account on DigitsLaw
  1. Company Information
  2. Firm Preferences
  3. Custom Fields
  4. List items
  5. Recycle bin
To access business settings 
  1. Click on Settings on the menu bar.
  2. Select Business Settings

  • Company Information
  1. On the Business settings tab, click on the Company Information sub-tab, fill in all relevant information and click on save changes

  • Firm Preferences

There are 3 sub-tabs for firm preferences

  • Client Portal
  • Practice area
  • Matter Numbering

To set up Client Portal

  1. On the Business settings tab, click on the Firm preferences sub-tab and then click on the client portal tab
  2. Fill out all relevant information and click on save changes

To set up Practice Area

  1. On the Business settings tab, click on the Firm preferences sub-tab and then click on the Practice Area tab
  2. Click on the Add practice area
  3. Fill out the required information and click on save

To set up Matter Numbering

  1. On the Business settings tab, click on the Firm preferences sub-tab and then click on the Matter Numbering tab

Fill out all relevant information and click on save changes
